1.Information We Collect

We collect information you provide when requesting a quote or booking a shipment, including name, email address, phone number, vehicle details, pickup and delivery addresses, and payment method. We also collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) and usage analytics.

2.How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve our transportation brokerage services, including: matching you with available carriers; processing payment for dispatched shipments; communicating about your booking and shipment status; and complying with legal obligations. If you have provided optional communications consent, we may contact you by phone or text message about your quote and shipment.

3.TCPA and Communications Consent

We will contact you by email and manual phone call in connection with your booking. If you separately check the optional TCPA consent box during booking, you also consent to receive automated or prerecorded calls and text messages at the number provided. Consent to automated communications is not required to book a shipment, and no purchase is required to consent. Message frequency varies and depends on the activity on your shipment; you should expect messages only in connection with an active or recently completed order. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and you will receive a single confirmation that no further messages will be sent. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at the number or address in Section 11. Carriers and drivers who accept a load through our dispatch system receive text messages solely to coordinate that shipment, and may likewise reply STOP at any time.

4.Sharing Your Information

We share your vehicle and contact information with the licensed carrier assigned to your shipment, solely so that carrier can perform the transport. Mobile phone numbers and text-message consent are never shared with, sold to, or rented to third parties, affiliates, or data brokers for their own marketing or promotional purposes, and are not used for any purpose other than servicing your shipment. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell your personal information. We may share aggregated, non-identifying information for analytics, and may disclose information as required by law or legal process.

5.Payment Data

Payment card information is processed by Stripe, Inc. and is subject to Stripe's privacy policy. Cars2Go does not store full card numbers. We retain the Stripe customer ID and payment method ID to process the dispatch charge as authorized at booking.

6.Data Retention

We keep records of each transaction we arrange for at least three years, as required of licensed property brokers by 49 CFR 371.3. Those records include the shipper and carrier of record, the vehicle, the origin and destination, the rate, and the dates of service. Booking and shipment records, bills of lading, and delivery inspection photos are retained for this period and then deleted or de-identified on a scheduled basis. Payment records are retained for seven years to meet tax and accounting obligations; full card numbers are never stored by us and remain with Stripe. Quote requests that never become bookings are retained for 24 months so we can honour follow-up questions and requotes, and are deleted after that. Text-message consent records — including the timestamp, the originating IP address and the disclosure wording shown — are retained for as long as the number is active with us and for four years after the last message, so that we can evidence consent if it is ever questioned. Records subject to a legal hold, an open claim or an audit are retained until the matter is resolved.

7.Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to receive it in a portable format, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Residents of California (CCPA/CPRA), Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may exercise these rights, and Nevada residents may separately opt out of any sale of covered information. To make a request, email privacy@cars2godelivers.com from the address associated with your booking, or write to the postal address in Section 11; we may need to verify your identity before acting, and we will respond within the time your state law allows. An authorised agent may act for you with written permission. We will not deny service, charge a different price, or provide a lesser standard of service because you exercised a privacy right. If you believe we have not resolved your request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and in some states you may also complain to your state attorney general.

8.Cookies and Tracking

We use standard web analytics cookies to understand aggregate site usage. We do not use cross-site advertising trackers on this booking platform.

9.Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10.Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy and will post the updated version with a revised date. Material changes will be communicated via email to customers with active bookings.
